Dora biography

There are four artists recording under the name of Dora: 1. Dora began in 1999. The band released Dead Horse Lounge in 2001 on Smith Seven Records/Madeline Records. Dead Horse Lounge was recorded by Matt Talbott (Singer/Guitarist for HUM) and mixed by Keith Cleversley (producer/engineer for HUM, Spiritualized, Mercury Rev,The Flaming Lips). Dora's only full length combines indie rock with an ambient soundscape that only some young dudes from Memphis could put together. Ben Canady's pained lyrics mix with Brandon Kinder's infectious guitar melodies created an album that was well ahead of its time. Unfortunately, Dora broke up in 2002. Members are now in This Is Goodbye and Homer Hiccolm & The Rocke Boys. 2. Dora is the female Portuguese singer, who participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 with "Não Sejas Mau Para Mim", and again in 1988 with "Voltarei".
